Copper Country Pysanky
I madepysanky with friends on my recent trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Above is a photo of some of them–the big egg is a normal sized chicken egg, and the smaller ones are cockateil eggs.

those little eggs are precious! where did you find cockateil eggs? does someone you know own one?
A friend had a cockateil who dealt with mourning (when she was widowed) by laying lots and lots of eggs. She (the friend) had saved them for several years, and finally got to put them to good use.
I don't know of anyone who sells cockateil eggs, but anything is possible nowadays. I've gotten them from friends who own birds and know I make pysanky.
